Raksha Bandhan is considered as one of the most auspicious occasion in India. This festival is a celebration of the sacred bond between brothers and sisters. Raksha Bandhan is celebrated on the full moon day of the Hindu month ‘Shravana.’ A beautiful festival ‘Raksha Bandhan’ is globally celebrated with faith and enthusiasm.All.This beautiful festival is celebrated by almost every religion in India, this festival is a celebration of the sacred bond between brothers and sisters. Indian history is replete with women asking for protection, through rakhi, from men who were neither their brothers, nor Hindus themselves . This festival reflects the sweet and sour relationship of brother and a sister. Rakhi is the day when they get an opportunity to express their tender love and feelings for each other. Sister prays a long healthy and wealthy life for her brother. Sister performs Aarti with tilak on her brother forehead before tying holy threads on the right wrist of brother. These holy threads are called rakhi. After tying rakhi, sister offer a sweat to her brother. In return brother offers a gift or some money to his sister and promise her to help her and protect her throughout his life.
